Department of Applied Science
The Dept of Science has upwards of 300 students per year across the different programmes and excellent teaching facilities.
The labs are very well kitted out which allows students to get real hands-on experience with equipment. There is also on site the National Pharmaceutical Education Centre, a 3,000 sq ft pilot plant facility covering chemical and biotechnology processing. Built with NDP funds, it’s virtually unique in the country. It allows us to take in people and give them a real industry learning experience as opposed to doing simulations. The programmes are recognised by industry and are an excellent route towards professional development in industry.
