To take this module as a Certified Single Subject then a level 8 honours degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent is required – contact Barry Feeney or Niall Roche.

Having successfully completed this module, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the nature, variety and capabilities of mobile devices in the marketplace
- Critically analyse the major architectural design issues for mobile applications
- Apply accepted design principles to mobile applications
- Discuss the current challenges relating to the delivery of content to mobile devices
- Critically evaluate the various development platforms and frameworks for mobile devices
- Be able to design and develop applications for the state of the art mobile development platforms.
